Conservatories & Sunrooms

A conservatory, sunroom or orangery are all similar structures which serve as links between the house and garden - a space that can be both light and airy and cosy and warm.

Antony can supply and fit a conservatory from his own supplier or install conservatories from other suppliers. Whilst most conservatories are UPVC Antony also has also built wooden framed and stone pillared varieties in the past.

The photos above show a mahogany UPVC conservatory Antony built in 2006. The brickwork and colours were chosen to blend with the existing building. The front window of the house was knocked through to join the existing living room and conservatory together.

Planning Permission

In most cases planning permission is not required for Conservatories or Sunrooms. However, it is always worth checking with your local planning office.

Planning permission may be required if:

  • Your house has already been significantly extended.
  • The conservatory would extend past the front wall of the property.
  • Your house is a listed building.
