Unusual
Not all projects are straight forward brick and tile. Here we see a Canadian log cabin Antony built.
The cabin was designed in the UK but milled and shipped from Canada.
The entire cabin was delivered in one massive container, including windows and doors.
Antony attended specialist training with the company to ensure he had the correct skills to undertake the building. The foundations and slab were traditional but from there on up it was all wood!
Canadian log Homes
Canadian Log Homes are built from solid Eastern White Pine, White or Red Cedar in a minimum size of 6 inches square. Logs are harvested, after more than eighty years growth, from sustainable forests in Nova Scotia where regulations dictate that only two trees per acre are felled each year. Log provides an aesthetically appealing building material that meets UK building regulations. Log is a unique material ideally suited to the British climate.
